1/28/2024 0 Comments King nidhogg![]() ![]() ![]() The only difference is instead of Fafnir spawning it could be Nidhogg. Keep in mind, Nidhogg spawn works on the same principle of Fafnir with regards to windows every 30 min. Many linkshells normally call out as Day 4+. 72 hours from that ToD is when the possible spawn of the HQ version can spawn in replace of the Fafnir version. So let’s say Nidhogg (HQ version of Fafnir) dies. It’s respawn is every 72 hours after ToD of the HQ version death. The HQ (High Quality) version of the HNM works on the same principle of the ToD and spawn windows, but with one exception. There are times when the HNM wont spawn until the last window meaning on the actual ToD so we call it 100% spawn, and you will normally see chainspell being set off by RDM and other important spells in hopes to get claim. Remember this works for both Behemoth and Turtle. There are a total of 7 windows meaning just add 30 minutes to each interval and you have your windows on when to watch for the spawn of Fafnir. 30 min from that point is the next window so at 8:02:53 is the next time when Fafnir can spawn. The window opens at 7:32:53 and Fafnir doesn’t spawn. The window of the HNM is the time given when there could be a chance that Fafnir or any of the HNM can spawn. There is a 3 hour gap when Fafnir or any of the kings can spawn so it will always be a waiting game, but I will now explain the windows of the HNM. So the next day at 7:32:53 it will have a chance to spawn. Its next spawn window will happen exactly 21 hours from that ToD (or to make it simple subtract 3 hours in total). Let’s say a Linkshell kills Fafnir and its recorded ToD is at 10:32:53 P.M. Each of the 3 Kings works on a 21-24 spawn window meaning its first window (aka first possible spawn time) will happen 21 hours later then the actual ToD on the next day. The correct ToD of any mob happens when the name of the monster disappears from your screen, NOT when the actual monster dies. I will use Fafnir as our example but this will relate to the other HNM of Behemoth and Turtle as well. ![]() The prediction is based on the ToD (Time of Death) of when the so called NM or HNM has died. When a NM or HNM dies there is a time when we can predict its next spawn. Let us discuss its spawn and when it will spawn and then it will lead into the windows portion of our discussion. When it comes to spawn, windows, and when the HQ version will spawn, they all work on the same principle. Let’s first dive right into the basics of the 3 Kings themselves. Then, I’ll talk about each of the 3 Kings separately and their importance. First, I’ll talk about the spawning of the HNM along with its spawn windows. There will be a lot of information discussed so I will break it down for you in hopes you can learn everything there is to be known for the 3 Kings. What are the 3 Kings? Fafnir/Nidhogg, Behemoth/King Behemoth, and Adamantoise/Aspidochelone (I will be using the term Turtle instead of its real name) are the known 3 Kings I will be talking about today. The 3 Kings, the most camped HNMs in the game still to date. Body! Ahh, the familiar sound of someone’s joy when one of the most wanted Abjurations in the game finally drops for some lucky player.
